I was looking at some early mock drafts and three had us taking Cincy QB Pike in the second. I do agree we need to draft a QB. But I think we could get Bill Stull from Pitt in a later round. What do you guys think of these guys.

And what other postions do you think we need to address. I am thinking LB, OL, DB, WR

Looking at mock drafts now is basically useless.

We still need to address DT, it's nice that we've thrown a bunch of in season bodies at it but we need a better fix.

I agree, but I think its trime to really really evaluate the QB postion...if Fox is gone..then so will Jake. I don't know if a rookie qb is the answer..but we need to start looking forward. Our DL needs to be addressed as well. We have not been able to stop the run all season, but I think that is because our NT is on IR.

Saying 'things will get better once kemo comes back' will only prevent us from properly addressing the problem, he wasn't that great to begin with.

I didn't say he was the solution to our run defense...I just think that is a one of the main reason we haven't been able to stop anyone. teams are running up the middle on us all season

Plus we have not been able to get any presssure on the other teams qb...could be lack of blitzing

I think we need alot of positions addressed...running back is the only one I feel good about. And the changes will only come with a new coach

While older and not the answer, I'd say Thomas is better than kemoeatu.

Hell if Fox is here, he trades so much it's not worth thinking about mocks.

Most mocks I look at have the 49ers with two picks in the top 10 to 15. I stop looking at them after that. :barf:

I think we can come up with something decent at DT with the pieces we have. Lewis and Kemo are OK. There are several guys we can choose from to go with them. Thomas, Tyler, Leonard and Irvin should produce goo depth. (I know we can't keep them all).

We probably need to draft a QB but we are going to need a veteran to start next year if we hope to make the playoffs. There are some steady veterans on some bad teams. Some of those teams are going to draft QBs high and drop veterans.

It used to be when you drafted a QB you planned for him to sit for a year or two before he started. That has changed but I think it helps a QB to sit a while. Look at Aaron Rogers....

Can someone explain to me why we should pay kemo 10 million to hopefully get back to average coming off this injury?
