i don't think he's been bad, but it's difficult for me to give him a pass on the qb situation. and certainly, who knew joke delhomme was going to fall apart suddenly...but it strikes me as there was never a plan in place for the if/when. post-surgery, that should've been priority number 1. it's frustrating, disappointing, disheartening. one game we play what looks like a college offense with a true freshman qb, afraid to throw it. the next game they go out and reinforce how terribly ineffective we are at forward passing.

If this team was in the AFC, it's quite possible they never would have made the playoffs under Fox. FWIW.

I did not mean to imply he had been perfect. I just meant that the current team we have is pretty solid everywhere but QB. Put a good QB on the team we have now and we are a solid playoff team.

Do you want to bring in a new coach, defense, receivers, TE, FB, and all of Steeler special teams or just replace Jake with an average QB. I'm confused.

If you read my first post I just say what I think Cowher would do, not that I advocate it.

That i recall you've been advocating Cowher taking over for 2 years now, kind of hard to say you want a coach but you don't agree with his plan. EDIT: or what you guess his plan would be.

I like Cowher and would not be upset to see him here. I am not yet calling for Fox's head though. I like his style of coaching as well.

I am not sure we would really change that much under Cowher. The offense would be similar. The defense may or may not go 3-4. Unless we were able to lure in Lebeau or Capers I am not sure we do.

The main thing is that we need a better QB, no matter who the head coach turns out to be.

Nope, most people here were sucking David Carr's dick before he took the first snap. Post surgery, there weren't really any viable options. We're still screwed.
