do they? this administration has shown themselves to be rigid and stick to their guns, to a fault. hurney said in his state of address that joke delhomme could be the starter for another 2 or 3 years. sometimes moving on is hard to actually do, or to admit that it needs to be done. i don't think they are at that point yet, and wins like yesterday, while i'm happy for the win, reinforce that belief we can still go with him at qb.

Fox and Hurney are very committed to consistency, and very committed to guys whom they consider 'core'. Additionally, they don't have 'obviously' better options - which is their own fault. At 2 and 3, it's also early and not panic time.

I have no idea if any of that is accurate, although i think it's close. I don't think the staff is dumb, I just think they're stuck and trying to make the best of a bad situation.

I really hate the Matt Ryan thing. So much talk of us coveting him before that draft. And now we have to face him for a decade.

 

well something has to change. that consistency is why we will face matt ryan for the next decade. unless that tendency is altered, we can all sit here and watch the next group of ryans, cutlers, flaccos, etc etc go to other teams. and we can make the best of another bad situation of our own design.

It's easier when you hit on the #3 overall pick. At best (or worst, depending on how you look at it), we will be picking somewhere in the 30s or early 40s.

Maybe there's a guy like Henne, an overlooked senior, who might slide down.

There's a lot QBs to look at, just from the Senior class. Bradford, Snead, Stull, Pike, McCoy, Alexander. Tebow, if he show some conventional passing. Good news is there are some prospects. Bad news is we won't get first choice of them.
