when the vikings interior lineman are getting a half dozen tackles each, it means Allen's drawing the double teams. It wasn't just alex barron.

I didnt see the game...but sure, that is possible. That story said he sould be considered for POW basically because he had two fumble recoveries...which is ridiculous. On the TD, Boller wasnt even touched when he dropped the ball and Allen was nowhere near him (and not being doubled). All he had to do was pick it up and run it in.

edit: on his second fumble recovery, he was being blocked by a wide receiver and wasn't in on the play. Jackson fumbled, Allen jumped on it.

not saying he should have gotten POTW. I don't know who was trying to make that case. I'm sure Barron played him better than Daryn Colledge. and I'm sure Kevin Williams benefited from extra attention paid Allen by the rams line

The article that was linked said that. The headline was:

Vikings' Jared Allen turns in another award-winning defensive performance

Yeah, I could have fallen on those two fumbles. That had nothing to do with Allen. The rest of the game, he was invisible against one of the worst starting tackles in football. He's an outstanding player, but he has "wtf" games just like Peppers. He had seven games last year without a sack.

Allen has one sack over the last month.

    That motor never stops.
