if winning a super bowl was all you're worried about, there are tons of guys out there who have. History shows they probably won't again, but that's a different idea.

Shouldn't that be all we're worried about?

winning our own? yes. Going and getting someone who won one for someone else isn't really much of anything.

There are tons of guys out there that have an old ring.

Agreed. There isn’t some individual dude (especially unemployed as a coach or GM) who could lead the panthers to the promised land in a couple of years . . . Unless we could have Walsh dug up and resurrected. He’s the only football Moses that comes to mind who could put together a championship staff and players in a relative hurry from scratch. There ain’t gonna be no “from scratch” in Carolina until Jerry is 6 feet under. HIS club is invested and committed and until it’s not his anymore IT IS WHAT IT IS <period>

How long has Cowher been out of the game?

    Could be a Seifert redux.

I don't think its just as much about the coordinators and assistants a guy like Cowher could bring.

I don't want Fox to fail in order to get a new guy, but if he does fail I want someone who brings some credibility and exicitement to the franchise...this is about entertainment afterall.
