It usually happens after Jake stands there for five seconds. It is not really a quick way to get rid of the ball but it does work almost every time it is tried.

yeah. Double moves, pump fakes. Could even pump fake and read off it - go deep if they bite, dump if they don't. You put those two reads up the same hash and you're in business.
rollouts if necessary, hard counts to slow the blitzes.

I'm tired of the defeatist bullshit. We aren't going to rollover and die. We're not just going to say "Jake had a bad game, so he can't and won't ever do anything again. This team failed this game so they can't and won't do anything this year." Thanks to people who are looking to discuss more than just one line bitchy replies kicking this shit when it's down.

nine months is a long time to wait to see a rerun of the worst movie you've ever seen, so i kind of figured there'd be a lot of kneejerk vomit.

if jake is toast (like bettis thinks), then it's a crappy end to an interesting career. we just don't know where we're at in the delhomme timeline. but, damn, if it is the end -- it's as definitive of an end as you can get. i mean, has any other starting QB in history had such an abrupt fall?

im hoping that jake turns it around, because there's talent on this team -- too much to waste. the window is still open.

c'mon, coaching staff -- work it out.

will be interesting. He could be done. He's got another game and we don't know what else.

Of course, we're stuck with 3/5ths of this line for 5 years plus. Most people seem to want to give these other parts a pass. You're not doing it here - you're the first one to say the OC has a part in it. And he does. The line does. The defense does. The coaching does. Some of this is expendable but not all of it is. You don't just throw it all away, but then again there's the makings of good Cowboy fans.

But a lot is lack of proper plays being called

Take what the defense is giving you .

What pisses a lot of us off is that some of us have called this shit for years, saying the team hasn't done anything to improve at the QB position...no moves for the future, no chances on a rookie, nothing....and it sucks to be right because now we have pissed away our options riding the 'Jake is OK' train. Now we're scrambling for a viable option because our coach and front-office staff are hrdheaded to a fault. Whan is the last time we've seen ANYTHING different out of this team? They have tried the same shit day in and day out....fucking Fox alluded to the 'patented draw on 3rd and 9' in his presser....we have a great running combo that carried us to 12 wins last season...did we not think the other teams were going to watch film? The NFL is a dynamic league...shit changes from week to week let alone year to year and we haven't...part of that reason is because Jake is limited in his ability, and we've done squat about it. That's not knee-jerk.....it's pissed off at the team because we want to see them kick ass.

Congrats, all it took was years and years for you to actually be right and even then the best you can focus on is one thing, over and over again. You're so concerned about the team you're literally talking about nothing else and have to bring discussion of offensive coordinators and everything else back to the same single thing you always did.
