But at Thursday night's preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers he says, "This little feller in a red shirt said I needed to sit down, and I said, 'I've been doing this for 14 years. You got to be kidding.' Next thing I know there was a posse of cops, a deputy sheriff and Charlotte police escorted me to security."

Nejberger says Panthers security never gave him a reason for booting him from the stands. He says they just told him, "You have to go or we're going to have to put you in jail."

Nejberger says he was not intoxicated at the time.

"You can't get drunk on $7 beers. No, I was not drunk at all," he said.

upon reading the comments section and another message board it seems the Panthers will allow you to text them if there is a problem in your section. is this true? thats weak as hell if so.

Yeah I was there and the whole time 2 security people were staring up at our section the whole time. They're gonna ruin it for real football fans. If all they want in there is whiners and people who drink cokes, a lot of people won't be going back including me. I told my buddy the middle of the 3rd quarter let's go I'm tired of this queer staring at us. And the $7 beer thing is absolutely right.

Yes, I remember it as one of the "public service" announcements on the new big screens starting last year before game time.

I really don't understand why some people go to these games. If you can't stand up, stay the fuck home and watch Driving Miss Daisy.

    Yep...

"Just text "FAN" to the number on the screen, along with the location...we'll take care of the rest!"

Lamest thing I've ever seen in an NFL stadium.

Somehow, I really don't think Jon Richardson was to blame for things like this...not to mention the multimillion-dollar "new" scoreboards with the TV's that are virtually no bigger than the old ones, but with lots more room for ads.

Oh, and of course, more room for "Rat Out Your Neighbor" PSA's too. :crap:

I am a PSL owner and have been going to games for 10 years and have stood for every game. I am in the lowers and have had no problem with the security guys in the yellow coats. The day I am told to sit down is the day I reevaluate the expense/drive time, etc., of my "game day" experience.
I will say that the preseason crowd is vastly different from the regular season crowd.

Just so people know, we aren't the only team that allows fans to dime out other fans they find obnoxious via text.
