Unfortunately not everyone that uses an unregistered gun hurts only themselves, in fact I'd wager the broad majority of unregistered guns in New York are used in the commission of other crimes.

There laws say you can have guns they just want them registered, I don't see how it's unconstitutional.

Nightclub + alcohol + women + unregistered, unlawfully concealed handgun.

    Recipe for disaster.

He probably could have shot at somebody and not gotten much more time. NYC DA office getting them some pub.

Commish Goodell said he could play immediately after he was released. NY City doesn't take prisoners when it comes to gun laws. EVERYONE knows this. Plax fucked up and gets what most would get. I'd give him 6 months and 1000 community service

There were rumors he turned down a plea for 2 months jail and 1500 hours community service, probably looks pretty good now, then again this guy did shoot himself.

I heard way back in February he turned down 18 months? Had he taken that he would play next year. His celebrity bit him. Mayor wanted to make a statement. What better statement than to take down the guy that caught the game winning Super Bowl.

This rates as one of the stupidest comments on this board.

When I first heard this, I was pretty indifferent about it. I just thought, "Oh, well. That's what he gets, I guess."

But the more I think about it, the more I don't like it. That level of punishment based on what could've happened is excessive to say the least -- especially compared to the punishment for recent convictions with far more serious results.
