That square wood thing in the center. Isn't that one of those things you can enter and be transported somewhere else? ;)

Make Ace get out there and groom the berry plant! I don't know about garden planning either except sun exposure is important.

That is our underground fall out shelter.

Oh I plan on it :) It's one of our "when it gets a bit cooler we will kill it and dig it up" projects. I think I want the garden closer to the house in hopes it will keep the bunnies, birds, ground hogs and foxes away.

Choose a spot that won't get shade for half the day from the trees :18:

If your county has a cooperative extension website they may have info on what will do well in a fall garden in your area.

My tomatoes are staying green, probably lacking a particular nutrient. It gets sufficient water. The plant looks very healthy. What can I do?

[I gave it some 10-10-10 a couple of weeks ago, overdid it and one plant died.]

I usually pick mine right before they start turning red so as to keep the bugs out of them. Normally just place them on a window ledge and let them ripen.

They are staying green because of the type of weather we having this summer. nights are too cool and the days are too cloudy...not getting enough sun. Finally last week we broke into the 90's and sunny days and my maters started turning. I thought they never were going to.

plus i heard it helps to plant several different varieties of tomatoes and not just one or two.

It's starting to "feel" like autumn here.
