we have been hosting the family throw-down for the last couple of years. this Saturday will be no different.......

    80-100 hot dogs w/all the fixin's
    canned drinks
    chips
    ice cream sammiches
    plastic plates/napkins/plastic untensils

    nothing fancy, easy clean-up.

we simply asked that guests bring NOTHING. but, just watch somebody bring a damn big pan of 'nanner pudding or fruit salad or some weird ass cake shit that requires bowls and spoons and the extra trash involved. then, i'll spend my day dumping half full cans of soda, chasing down napkins and plates in the breeze, answering questions about why i didnt get any picnic bowls for the nanner pudding, washing down spilled hot dog fixin's and drinks before the ants and flies and yellow jackets take over....asking kids not to run on the cement at the pool, while mommy and daddy lounge, oblivious to their little snot factories running wild, reminding EVERYBODY to shut the damn door when they go in and out of my house, so the flies will stay outside. NO, I DONT HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DRINK EXCEPT FOR THE 8 VARIETIES OF CANNED DRINKS (AND BOTTLED WATER) IN THOSE 5 LARGE COOLERS OVER THERE!

    DAMNIT

AND THROW YOUR SHIT IN ONE OF THREE VERY FUCKING LARGE TRASH CANS WHEN YOU FINISH STUFFING YOUR FACE......SAME GOES FOR YOUR KIDS MESS TOO!

i just love a good party

    I feel for you, VI.

We hold the family reunion the end of July so folks won't battle the 4th's traffic.

Some of the women will bring homemade pies and cakes. One older aunt will bring country cured ham on her homemade biscuits that you would not believe!! But, do you think I'll get one?? NOoooo, because the seven-year locusts/kids will have scarfed them up before I hardly get a chance to even see them. the little shits.
