    So what's the plan? Do we stash Fiametta on the practice squad until Hoover retires? Or is Fiametta versatile enough to be Nick Goings?

    probably neither. He's not a RB and he's not going to get cut. He'll be a backup FB, a special teamer, and might get some action as a goal upback.

    What about a jumbo package with Fiametta leading Hoover? Or is that what you meant by a "goal upback"?

    I've seen us use 2 FB around there before, sure.
    He might get a carry or two, but Hoover was pretty good at getting conversions this year.
