    They wouldn't be intended to be meaningful any more than a Globetrotters game is. Furthermore, they wouldn't be intended for the US market or even a television market. They would be a tool to generate football awareness and interest in new or underdeveloped markets. And being able to promote them as featuring "stars", albeit meaningless stars from a competitive standpoint, would be a big draw. Much more so than a competitive game played by unknowns. That being said, I doubt seriously it will get serious consideration. But who knows, weirder things have happened.

    I am not sure that Football will ever go over well in Europe or really any place outside of North America. It is all about bigger badder smashmouth big hits type stuff and apparently Europe is too refined for that sort of thing....
