    Agree and disagree.

I kinda hate Jake for the zona game, and also for some of the pitiful performances he put up in reg season.

But damn if he doesn't have a knack for clutch plays, even if they're lucky.

Smitty wasn't in San Diego.....and that shit was clutch.

I'm not sold on Cutler as a winner. He's a better player than Delhomme, but has never been a winner. Delhomme sucks at alot of things, but dude is a winner.

Delhomme's approval rating is at an all time low......

Cutler doesn't have a winning record..you are right...but the guy threw for over 4000 yards with crappy receivers, no running game and one of the worst defenses in the league.

As far as the San Diego game? Yeah..a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while.

I just look at that "spectacular" catch that Smith made..that if it was thrown better would have been a TD and routine. He locks in on Smith so much that it has become a liabitlity. The 'zona game he tried to get it to him when whe was three guys covering him. That means there was at least one other reciever open and he didn't look for him.

I will take Cutler in a new york minute. He is young. He will be better with the people we can put around him. And he brings star recoginition to that position that we have never had

I guess another nut was the comeback win at New Orleans when the Panthers were trying to secure home field? He is a gun slinger who had a career bad day at the absolute worst possible time. It's over and we are not in the mix for Cutler.

First of all...we are not over for Cutler. You don't know what could happen. And second, I am more about making a change that getting Cutler.

In this league, the window is very short for playing for a championship. We have alot of the pieces in place. And I don't think we have the time to see if Jake had one bad game. In my opinion he has been lucky more than good and that proves disaterous in the end.

I just know that everytime he drops back to pass..I cringe at what bad thing could happen. And I will still say that without Steve Smith, he would be SOL.

Without Steve Smith....you mean like back in 2004 when Smitty went down? You know, the year Moose had 93 catches for 1,405 yards.

Look, no problem with the fact you don't like Delhomme and want someone new to lead the Panthers. However, you can't just re-write history to make your case. Jake's "clutch" goes back to his first game when he led the team from behind and hit Proehl in the endzone at the end of the Jacksonville game. In my opinion, play in the playoffs and come-from-behind 4th quarter wins establish "clutch". Facts are Jake's been one of the best in the NFL in terms of come-from-behind wins since he took over the Panthers. Fact is his playoff record is excellent and prior to the Arizona meltdown his career playoff passer rating was 3rd highest in NFL history.

If you want him gone you can't support your case by pointing to "clutch", or playoff record, or come-from-behind wins. I would not cry a tear if we ended up with Cutler, but IMHO Jake has been great for the Panthers since he took over in 2003.

I am not re-writing anything. He could not do what he did without Smitty..and he will be a hack somewhere else

Cutler threw for a ton of yards without a ton of support, but to me none of his other stats stand out. He threw for a crapload of yards because he was always behind - it's not like he threw for 40 TDs.

Jake is Smitty's boy. That is enough for me.

Oh, and Cutler had shitty receivers? Like Brandon Marshall? That guy is terrible.
