It's interesting how he refused the trade to Tennessee, yet they're probably the only suitor that wants him as a starter. The Jets aren't interested. He must have really wanted out of St. Louis if he's willing to be a back-up somewhere else.

I can not see too many teams out there that are so loaded at wide out that Holt would be a back up. He would be the number one on several teams even with his play dropping off a bit.

We do not really need him but I feel sure he will sign somewhere and end up starting. Baltimore, Miami, New York (either team), San Fran, Minnesota, Chicago all spring to mind pretty quickly....

He declined the trade so he could choose where he went. He wants to play in Carolina and I'm sure he'd do it at a reduced rate. So hopefully something will get done.

The only way I see us getting Holt is if we release Muhammad.... not likely

Smith, Moose and Proel worked out nicely. If Holt wants to play for Carolina, then there is room.

Troy Brown style? We won't need a Qb when we draft Pat White.

I heard on NFL radio this morning that Holt really wants to play for Carolina even to the point of being the #3 WR with it's pay rate. Tennessee has shown the most interest so far. If he's willing to come in cheap why not?

we'd have to find money. he'd have to take a Moose deal. And Moose's deal is really kinda fucking ridiculously cheap for what we get- all-time bargain level. When Kevin Greene played for this amount of money eleven years ago it was considered a coup (which later turned into a holdout and eventual collapse of the entire defense), so in this day and age Moose is really kinda fucking doing us a solid here.

he's really involved in the area so I guess. And Moose is the type that would take the #3 role for the better of the team.

But we have to find a way to improve the defense. This doesn't help that, of course.

Have we already used the money saved by releasing Lucas? I agree we have some work to do getting the DL fixed what with Peppers up in the air not to mentiojn losing 2 quality reserve OL men
