What is the haybale idea? Do you guys have a Turf store and do you get Andre Viet (sp) on AM in your area?
I'm going bigger this year! doing tomatoes, blue lake beans, cabbage, banana peppers, more squash this year and way less zuchini, trying broccoli, lima beans, onions, Brussels sprouts, taters, corn, trying pumpkins so gage will have one come October and i'm looking for White mcaslte beans (??) for my gpa. He talks about how his mom use to cook them for him and i told him i would grow some for him. Only i don't know where to get the seeds.

Heh. I found that same site this morning. Someone was asking me about it elsewheres.

JB, do a google search for the seed. If you misspell it, google should correct you.

I've got several seeds from 400+lb pumpkins. I have one seed from a 700lb giant. I'm hoping to end up with a few to sell at the end of the driveway come October.

Mine grew like a ************ last year. I haven't decided on the self watering thing yet. In some ways they are more trouble. The standard containers I have are probably 20-25 gallon planters.

I put the tomatoes outside last week. Had to bring them in during this cold spell. They're doing great. The cherry tomatoes are just starting to take off. I need more soil to fill the containers to the top once they get their first true leaves. Two figs are rooted and seem to be doing well.

Thanks jazz. They look a little sad today. I pulled off their lower leaves and repotted them into deeper containers. I use two liters. There are holes in the bottom for drainage. They should root all the way up their stem. No burying sideways for me.
