How about Peppers to the fins for their first round pick and Pennington?

What makes me curious is that ESPN ala John Clayton and Co. have been reporting that the Panthers arent seeking a trade, but rather they wanted to try to keep him for this season. This fly's in the face of what we have been discussing and I am curious if that is true, or just Posturing by the front office?

    Interesting:

Carolina will need to trim at least $10million from its salary cap to reach the league maximum of $123million by Feb.27. They could save about $7.35million by cutting cornerback Ken Lucas, offensive lineman Jeremy Bridges, receiver D.J. Hackett and linebacker Landon Johnson.

I would have to say that it doesn't seem to be in Pepper's best interest to hold out, but you never know.

ONe interesting scenario is a trade with houston for Dunta Robinson.

I think I'd want more for Peppers than just Dunta, though.

How about Peppers for the Cow's Anthony Spencer, he is a former 1st round pick (26th in 2007), stuck behind the depth the Cow's have and can come in w/ NFL experience and play DE, like he did in college. And then also get this years 2nd round, and next years 1st rounder as part of the deal. Good speed rusher, I remember them saying draft day that all of the Big Ten tackles that came out that year, 2007, (Joe Thomas, Levi Brown, Jake Long (2008)) said he was the toughest player to block in the Big (&Slow) Ten.

    Just a thought for consideration

It'll be interesting to see what kinds of offer sheets he may or may not get.

I would imagine he'll get ALOT of interest. I'd also be willing to take a first rounder from 2010, given the boys have no first this year.
