    You never know.

He's an ideal pass rusher in a 4-3 defense, as well as a great run stuffer. Teams that run a 3-4 base are going to have a hard time justifying spending that kind of money for a player that, IMO, doesn't match 3-4 OLB traits.

He's his best when playing RDE in a 4-3.

He could be an outstanding OLB in a 34, but I think it's a mistake to assume it. Not all 34 defenses are alike. Coaches like Mangini and Belichick seem to use those guys in coverage more often than a team like San Diego or Dallas. He could always end up on a team that uses him in a more passive manner than he would like.

Not going to drive that far, but at some point, this is about wins, not legacy.

Peppers will likely end his career elsewhere, and potentially in the hall of fame. One would have hoped that had happened here in Carolina, but I am more interested in how this team will plan their roster for a championship.

We were scoring 25-35 points per game down the stretch, and I don't expect that to drop without injuries(and with the exception of New England, the same can be said about every team in the NFL). Peppers' production is second to none, but it's time to suck it the fuck up, move on, and hope that Ron Meeks can take marginal talent across the front line and push them to produce.

He's Ricky Williams. Bored, and ready to do something different.

Better yet, Julius is like that dude that can never pick a team when starting a Madden franchise. Annoying as dick.

Pretty sure that's when we'll bring him back with a HUGE contract.

the only concern anyone's had is that he's dropped into coverage here. That he has to play the run here? Boo hoo. That suddenly teams playing against him in a 3-4 wouldn't double block him? No.

I think he's best in a 4-3. If you say "he should rush the passer every down" that's the most correct answer, but I can see a motivation strategically for dropping him in either defense.

I think he's a great player. I look forward to having him back if he was willing, but apparently he's not. So I look forward to getting a draft pick for him and hoping that player doesn't get burdened with unrealistic expecations, and that the player helps us move forward.
