How can you argue that they were not as good as some of the 8-8 teams that have made it in recent years? Warner was considered an MVP candidate at one point in the season. Fitzgerald was probably the best wide out in the league this season. Like everyone else I figured they were one and done in the playoffs but I never thought they were the worst team to make the playoffs since the merger, that is just over the top.

The Colts had the worst run defense in the regular season the year they won it all. They did not fire Meeks after the superbowl...

So was Trent Edwards, WTF does that prove?

"Never mind that the Cardinals scored one more point (427) than their opponents (426) over the course of a 16-game season. Never mind that they lost four of their last six games, including three by at least 21 points. Never mind that 15 other teams -- nearly half the league -- finished with the same or a better record than Arizona."

I just explained this to you, so strain that two-cell brain of yours as hard as you can. The Cardinals were 6-0 against a horrible NFC West and 3-7 versus the rest of the league. Having one more win than San Diego obviously doesn't mean they were a better team than the Chargers, because they weren't. In those ten games outside their division, Arizona was outscored 325 points to 247.

Our loss to Arizona was a complete fucking meltdown by our quarterback. Period. Had very little to do with anything they did schematically.

Recall, our defense came out smoking in that game. We tanked after a singular play where Delhomme decided to:

    1. Take entirely too much time getting rid of the football
    2. Held the ball out like a loaf of fucking bread

Arizona, in many ways, was more impressive offensively in their October loss to Carolina. Only difference was in October, Jake didn't let one early fumble turn him into Jonathan Quinn.

I thought Arizona had a pretty good gameplan, but in terms of the turnovers, most of that was just Jake being Jake.

Teams show things all the time. It wasn't Jake's first BBQ, as they say, so he should have been a little more prepared mentally for this kind of thing.

I mean, really, I have never seen him so fucking lost as he was that night.
