From ESPN insider talking about the Chiefs spending money:

After hiring a dream coach, will newly-minted Kansas City Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli now go after some dream free agents? That is the speculation of the Kansas City Star's Adam Teicher, citing the fact that the Chiefs will have about $37 million under the projected NFL salary cap of $123 million to play with this offseason.
First and foremost on the minds of most people when analyzing the Chiefs would be the quarterback position, and although Matt Cassel was franchised on Thursday by the New England Patriots, he could still be traded to the Chiefs, as was reported first on Monday by the Boston Herald.

On the defensive side of the ball, the team could look to add Arizona Cardinals linebacker Karlos Dansby as well as Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers, both of whom are potential free agents. Both of these players could potentially be franchised as well, but if they are designated as "non-exclusive" franchise players, the Chiefs could sign them in exchange for two compensatory first-round draft picks.

How is Jarrett the worst draft pick n franchise history? He made some pretty good 3rd down catches and has allot of potential. He is way better and younger than Hackett. The WR'S next year will be SMITH, MOOSE, JARRETT, ROBINSON, CARTER, JONES.
