Weird, that he took an immediate step down instead of sitting to see if any of these other teams need a DC

That is weird. The only time I ever considered a step down in my career ladder was several years ago when I hated my supervisor.

Very strange indeed. I guess that Trogo to Jax stuff was just smoke.
They're getting a very good DL coach.

did you decide you liked him and then after a day and a half decided you couldn't ever work with him again?

It took a little longer than a day and a half, but I got his job.

There are two reasons to leave a job; better offer (money) or better working circumstances (personality conflicts).

It could be that he isn't interested in anything open right now. Maybe he respects Capers and wants to work under his system. His success will parlay into a sexier position that opens next year. Or maybe he is jumping ship like Collin said and with the bad economy he wanted to find a job asap.

Does the economy effect the number of DCs that are needed in the NFL?

he realized in was in over his head and couldn't take the pressure, so he's staying with what he knows

i guess fox can teach a dog to tackle but he couldn't teach dipshit to game plan or make adjustments... hopefully he can straighten out davidson's problem with abandoning the run
