    That's bullshit. Steelers fans booed during the San Diego game and booed last night when Sweed dropped that long pass.

    Ha - I didn't boo them at all. I'm more comfortable with us being behind than ahead. After the 3rd quarter when they stopped selling beer and it was apparent we were only going to suck worse, I left.

    WRONG

    Steelers rookie receiver Limas Sweed dropped what would have been a 50-yard touchdown pass at the 10 when he was wide open with just under a minute left in the first half. He then rolled around as if injured, costing the Steelers a precious time out, their last of the half.

    My wife and I were at a sports tavern watching the game. There must have been 100 Steeler jerseys in there. When Sweed dropped the pass, almost all of them began booing. One guy started screaming, "CUT HIM!"

    I told the guy that this was the first time I had heard Steeler fans boo one of their own players this badly since Kordell Stewart. He replied, "We ain't booing the Steelers...We're booing the University of Texas for producing this P.O.S!"

    I remember when the baseball (Pirates) fans would throw old batteries at the players they didnt like and the players wearing batting helmets in the outfield. Maybe Carolina fans need to adopt something similar.
