What to do about the defense

The first quarter they did try to run the ball. But you can't run the ball every play. But once Jake started turning the ball over and they went up by a few possessions. You have to throw the ball to give yourself a chance. But obviously, we see how that worked out.

We all know that game wasn't pretty. Nor were some of the other games. For those of you giving up on fox, do you not remember what we were? Winning about 2-3 games a year. And he turned us around. In the last couple of years we've hit the playoffs twice. Win or lose, you don't have a chance to win the superbowl if your not in the playoffs. I rest my case.

 

You're confused. Seifert's last year we obviously went 1-15, but the two years prior we finished 7-9 and 8-8. Fox clearly has a better overall record than Seifert or Capers, but 7-9 has been a common finish for us under all three.

 

Their 1st score, after we kicked it out of bounds, was 60 yards. I'm looking at the drive chart. But generally you're right. 3 of the scoring drives were just less than 50 yards, and that is too short of a field.

The one I was thinking of, when Jake threw the Int in the EZ (the first one of those), they only got a FG. So not the length of the field. I have much less accurate memory of things when I'm at the game, and esp when Im there, and resigned that we're playing very poorly, with a plan we will not deviate from, again.

So I'll take it back. I don't think the D played well, but not as poorly as I thought. We needed them to make at least a few 3 and outs, early, and we didnt get any. But the Cards did not move at will.

Their stats are very similar untill you get to the ints

So Warner did not blow Panthers away with his passing game , Just with FIELD POSITION

58 yds difference Panthers gave up the run
