What was the demeanor of the Panthers after the game last night? Pissed off? down?

hmmmm...certainly not happy, but not pissed as in throwing things around the room. The defensive players were voacl about being the reason they lost. Kasay was up front answering every question about his missed kick. I wouldsay the mood was down, but certainly not out. Some conversations were about the near fumble in the OT on the punt--Marshall couldn't beleive the ball fell right into McQuarters arms.

Truth be told, the Panthers had that game won in several spots. Think "Denny Green Tirade" Carolina let the Giants off the hook.

That is likely my best answer--they knew they let that one get away.

They are who we thought they were!

You should have stuck a leg out and tripped Ward on that long run in OT....

I want then to be mad and refocused for the Saints game. Then carry it over when we play the Giants again. With Plaxico the Giants are very beatable. We also played with Justin Tuck not anywhere near 100%

This reminded me of the game with NY vs NE last year; NY lost the game but went away knowing they could hang.

It wasn't a must win, this week is the must win.

Yeah, Marshall did what he was supposed to do, the ball just happened to bounce right where he pushed him.

They actually played well enough to win, and a break here or there and they WOULD have won. I figure they would be down afterwards because they are pros, they didn't get to where they are by not caring.

Hopefully next time, our playcalling won't go in the deepfreeze and we can put someone away. Fox is a good coach and no doubt has saved his job this year, but he still needs more killer instinct.

The best part about this specific loss is they have a chance to redeem themselves awful soon this week against the Saints. It would be difficult to swallow losing a game like this if we had to think about it until next year.

Btw, thanks Solarte for sharing what you observed.

What did Kasay say about the stutter-step?

he said it had nothing to do with the miss. He simply didnt start it far enough right--kinda like a golfer not playing the ball far enough into the wind to allow for it to come back. He took full blame.
