best we've ever had at this. Props to King/Rosario and Geoff Hangartner as the tackle eligible for being a big part of this, too. Stewart's short TDs, DW's 1-yarders in bunches, it's tough to stop us short.

We still have inconcistency in the run game but we're getting good yards inside, outside, we're getting plays made consistently, we're able to do good things with power from standard formations, we're able to do things with power from obvious running formations. So it's not as if we're doing it this way, or that way, and if you figure that out, we can't run.

Makes a nice change for the days we really struggled in the redzone.

Having Otah back is nice too.

we're really successful with this set. I like we're doing something slightly interesting with a reserve player in this set, because it's obvious what we'll do here. It's wild we're this good without Smith or Muhammad even in the game.

I think they're obviously happy with our TE blcoking, and we've been good there (we run a lot of 2 TE). Would still be interesting to put a good defender in there for a little more power, but let's not mess with it too much. Hoover really is blocking fairly well, too.

P.S., do not throw to Hangartner

Help settle a debate I was having iwth a friend a couple weeks back. A couple years ago when we were tinkering around with putting Pep in on offense in short yardage.... did he ever score?

    never even caught a ball.

It would be fun to bring that back. To ensure a good matchup (as if there's really a defender that matches up with a 6'7, 290 lb former basketball player in the goal defense), you could put him in the backfield and motion him.

but, again, I'm good with not fucking up what we have going.
