Thanks. Yeah, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I learned a lot in the process, which will help me with our future projects coming up (like remodeling our master bathroom, including building a custom shower with a bench).

My turn, redid the GF closet, took a couple weeks to cut and build everything and about 6 hours to install. Came out pretty good though. Before pics on left after on the right.

And while I'm at it, I redid my master br closet back in the summer. Same thing, before on the left, after on the right.

Very Very nice, the both of you. I seriously need a shoe shelf like that.
I need a shoe place baaad.

Did either of you use plans or did you figure it out yourself? Question 2, how much sawing is required for a project such as this?

Excellent work, Semper! Were those kits, store bought plans, or did you build the units from scratch?

Everything built from scratch. Mine was built from hard maple and maple plywood and stained and hers was built from popular and MDF and painted. All designed by me although I did get the original idea from workbench magazine, can't take all the credit.

Myself with some ideas out of woodworing magazines

Would be very hard to tackle a project like these and hasbeens without proper equipement, especially a tablesaw.
