What if Florida beats Alabama and then BCS matches up Oklahoma vs Texas in rematch?

 

no florida would gain enough in that win to leap into the top 2. Giving them a shot at the title.

I agree that Florida should jump if they beat Alabama

Who would have thought that Texas beats Oklahoma by 10 points on a neutral field and gets jumped by the computer?

Or will the #4 Florida jump #3 Texas if they win or will both current #2 Oklahoma and #3 Texas simply move up per the computer?

 

So you're saying that head to head is what matters most, right? Then how do you justify picking 11-1 Texas over 11-1 Texas Tech? And how could anyone favor 11-1 Texas Tech over an 11-1 Oklahoma team that clobbered them? I personally would favor Texas for purely subjective reasons, but the reality is that if you look at point differential for the opponents all three of those teams played this season, Oklahoma had by far the best numbers. There is no perfect solution, not even a playoff.
