I was done all day so I set the dvr to record the race. I always have it record and hour extra justn case it goes long. So, here I am watching and all the sudden, when the alloteted time is up, they jerk it off the air in favour of funny home videos!! I remember watching that show in the eighties with my parents and didnt even know it was still on air. WOW, how far has nascar fallen when they pull you off the air in favour of that crap...What are the chances of that ever happening to an nfl game??

The race was still shown live in the Mountain & Pacific Time ZOnes . . . . . Why did they do that ? ? ? ? This is almost like Heidi on NBC back in 1968 again** !!!!!!

**Short Version of Long Story-NBC back in 1968 in the Eastern & Central Time Zones left a very exciting Jets/Raiders game which was going down to the wire right at 7pm in favor of HEIDI . . NBC Network Control never got word about staying with the game until the very end, so at 7pm promptly they went to HEIDI . . . Because of this, NBC apologized on the Huntley/Brinkley Report the next night for leaving the game. Because of this, rules are in place now where NFL games have to be shown until the very end before network programming can begin (if Im not mistaken)

no testing on sanctioned tracks. What is it going to do? Make teams like Hendrick and Roush build their own test tracks. Going to really hurt Tony Stewart and Ryan Newman next year.

It would be nice to see them use some of the old tracks, Rockingham, Wilkesboro, etc. If the point is to try to save money, it would make more sense.

And it just might happen... from whky's nascar page

NORTH WILKESBORO BACK IN THE GAME?
With last week’s dramatic alteration of NASCAR’s testing policy for 2009, the Winston-Salem (North Carolina) Journal reported over the weekend that North Wilkesboro Speedway – which hasn’t hosted a Cup Series race in more than ten years – is being eyed by at least one team owner for purchase and conversion to a full-time test facility.
