    I'm about to purchase a fridge, dishwasher and over the stove microwave.

    I want the samsung 3 door fridge, the bosch dishwasher and the microwave made by kenmore to match the stove that was already in the house.

    So... as long as the stainless matches, is it bad to get different brands? I'm just not convinced it's a smart thing to do.

    Secondly, where would you purchase them? Has anyone ever purchased appliances online?

    I'm looking for input/ideas for where I should purchase, any deals you heard of and advice on the brands not matching when resale comes.

    Also is there any chance the black friday thing would work with appliances and I should just hold off buying til then?

    I appreciate any input, thanks.

    Plaza Appliance dent and scratch. You'll save some cash.

    That would be my preference, but I can't find a line that has a good review on all of them. There will be a good review on one, but not the other and it isn't just a small difference. Ie... the samsung fridge will rate as a 5 and the dishwasher as a 1.
    I should pre-empt the obvious answers coming with- I can't furnish an entire kitchen with viking or other top of the line appliances.

    Why are you so obsessed with ratings? There is very little that can go wrong with appliances and they all come with warrantees. Just buy a reputable brand and everything will be ok. You must be a pain in the ass to date.

    Maybe you're right and I shouldn't be that obsessed with it, but it's the comments made by people who bought them. Now of course, I have to take into account that most people aren't going to get on a review site and talk crap unless they're displeased... however-hang on, I'll show you some of the things I've read.


    And I KNOW I'm being a pain in the ass. As much as I've talked about it here, you can imagine what those around me have gone through.
