or you can get overhyped and stop playing within your responsibilities. Remember that time Mike Rucker lost contain? No? Me either. You know how many times McClover got all hyped up and ran by a ballcarrier? About half the run plays when he was in.

I've never bought that Peppers loafs. He's all over the place, and I think last year with him having whatever happened, he wasn't at 100%. Don't know why, don't care, it's on him to be prepared and whatever he did it's to his own detriment. Just like whatever Lucas did to himself in 2006 (?) with those additives that he took to get a little edge that got him ill and weak. You're responsible for your body first and foremost, whether you're training, or trying to get some strange, or out at the club, or tripping over Brian Griese's dog (which has to be a drug euphemism by now).

But him attempting to be a leader, and some insight on his process, is good to know. I can get behind that, though an alternate solution to his concerns on stepping over Rucker would be for him to get behind Rucker and help affirm his points as opposed to just being silent. I imagine if the two of them got together and told Jenkins or Wahle to shut the fuck up last year we'd have been in better shape.

I don't care whether Peppers becomes a leader, vocal or not. Beason is a vocal leader, as is Harris.

We need Pep to make plays. He's the only one that scares anyone on the front 4. Last week, he made a lot of plays.
