    We're 6th in the NFL for points allowed with 70, or 17.5 per.

    Considering 14 came from a blocked punt and a sack/fumble, our defense has only allowed 14 per game.

    Additionally, the points scored by teams we've played rank as follows:

    SD - #1
    CHI - #12
    MINN - #22
    ATL - #14

    Godfery has gotten burned four two touchdowns as well. If not for those 14 points we would be at 10.5 points per game. You are not going to lose too many games doing that.

    3 came from a blocked punt last week too...

    yeah this is a damn good defense, plus we're stout at RB, and we've finally got somebody to throw the ball to besides Smith... now if we can stay healthy on the OL and not keep fucking up ST's... we might be somebody

    i think meat is referring to points scored while the defense wasn't on the field, so really it shouldn't count against them in the stats... Godfrey plays defense so you can't throw that out

    I know what he means. You can say "but, well, this ___________". That's in the form of an excuse, and stats don't excuse losses.

    Of course, win/loss % is a statistic.

    Our D has been good. Most definitely a lot better than 20th ranked run D. Better than 13th, and a top 5 if we had more rush/if we got off the field a little quicker. Trgo defenses finish at worst 15th in scoring. Our defenses keep people out of the endzone.

    I know you can't throw that out I just wanted to point out that if we were to get that part of our defense fixed then it would really be awesome in preventing points.
