Mold on wood

    Sand off the mildew spores and you're done.
    You're talking about staining a table, not painting the handrails on the front porch.
    If you put Chlorox on the surface of your table, you'll never get a uniform finish.
    No spores, no mildew.
    Also, stain has the highest mildewcide allowed possible. Way more than what is in a standard paint.


    BTW, sand that table top with the grain only.:xyxwave:

    I'm impetuous. :flower:

    I had it sanded and stained before anyone replied I think. I'm not sure I sanded with the grain, but I sanded the little screw holes after I filled them and just sanded in general all over it. Maybe I won't see any mold. If I do, I'll resand, treat and re-stain. Someday.
