That is something that people say to absolve themselves of responsibility for their own actions. Emotions are never beyond control. Sometimes it's very, very hard to suppress an urge, but it's still possible.

 

We'll just disagree. I believe you can control them to a degree, but not 100% all of the time.

 

It's your right to be wrong, sure. You want to believe it because, as noted, that kind of excuse absolves people of responsibility for their actions. Whether because of something you did or something someone else did to you, that belief helps you cope. But despite how much it may help you, it's still false. Our faults are our fault.

who the fuck is Gantt to feel like Smith owes him anything...He fucked up, missed 2 games, cost him x amount of dollars, most likely alot of respect in the locker room and in ther end it may(if he plays up to that level) cost him the hall of fame or an MVP or Pro Bowl

I dont know him, wont pretend to, act like it, or say i know someone who knows him- anyone who does is to full of themselves(and most likely shit)
i know 89 the guy that comes out plays hard and wants to win. how many players out there are like that? -hes not perfect neither am I

Agreed, I don't know him either, but I know first hand what it's like to have an anger problem. If you havn't had one you can't pretend to know what it's like. It takes 24 hours a day for multiple years. Lets put it this way: I have had an anger problem since I was born. Something probably like Steve I would IMAGINE, (notice IMAGINE, IDK for sure, but would be my guess). What I'm saying is it took me 14 years to get out of it, and I'm still presently working on it to this day, I've done things 2x that bad to people, one even a cousin. So wha I'm saying is this isn' an overnight thing. He has decided to focus on it, what 2 years ago? Mine isn't as bad as his, and it took me 10+ years! Give him time ppl. I know he did something BADDDDDD! He's served his punishment, lost his $$$. So let's drop it. And enjoy what is looking like a good Panther football season!
