I'd wondered if Garcia was really hurt or if Gruden was just being his fickle self.

    BUCS SHOPPING GARCIA

Posted by Mike Florio on September 11, 2008, 11:58 a.m.
A league source tells us that the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are trying to trade quarterback Jeff Garcia. Per the source, the Bucs are willing to take anything they can get for Garcia, who’s in the final season of a two-year contract.
The problem is the relationship between Garcia and coach Jon Gruden. They’re “ready to kill each other,” the source said.
It’s so bad that there’s a possibility (albeit slim at this point) that the Bucs will ultimately cut Garcia.
On Wednesday, Gruden declared that Brian Griese will start for the Bucs on Sunday against the Falcons. Garcia reportedly has an ankle injury.
If Garcia is cut, he’ll be entitled to receive the balance of his $2 million salary as termination pay.

Who needs a starter in the WCO? Washington, for one.

Griese will get murdered by the Falcons.

I really think Gruden is not that good a coach. TB has been pretty much a shambles during his reign. I know they have had some good years but most are a mess from a team stand point.

He seems to ruin qb's more than he helps them.

How many starters at QB have they had since he's been there?

He seems to do fairly well with not much talent. They did win the division 2 of the last 3 years

They've wanted him out of there since he started bitching about his contract.
