Almost forgot about that. I had a mini-heart attack before the play even got started. Between that and the tip/bobble on the catch I was in complete shock for a second or two.

    I had several.

That 2 minute drive exemplifies why I cannot be in public while watching the panthers.

Yeah, for as successful as the last drive was, it included a LOT of wtf moments, not the least of which was the lack of TO at 24 seconds, when it took us nearly 18 seconds to run another play.

The emotional swing from the end of that play to the win was pretty fucked up.

I was sitting close to you. 10th row in F8.

It was cool to see a good group of panther fans at the game. I talked to a lot of them who lived out there.

As for the game, wow. We kicked their asses up front. I dont understand why we threw the ball 40 times when we were having so much success running it. Almost five yards a clip. It should have never come down to the last play, but we got the W against a good football team on the road. I'll take that all day long.

No doubt. After our first two runs which led to a first down, we threw three straight passes leading to a punt. And it was like that the whole day even though we were running all over them.

Being at the game is cool, but you don't see things as well as you do when watching television and seeing replays. The broadcast showed that Delhomme was repeatedly inaccurate, just like that preseason game against Philadelphia. His receivers were bailing him out with a number of good catches on passes that were often behind them. Jake didn't make a lot of boneheaded throws, although we discuss a couple that came uncomfortably close to being picked off, but in all he did have a rough game. Some people will want to pretend that I'm just being debbie downer and that I have it out for Jake, but we were all in agreement in the chat. Delhomme struggled all game, but stepped up when the team needed him most, yet I'm still worried about how long it's going to take for him to shake the rust off and I'm irritated at Davidson for not sticking with the run.
