Age will do that :clapclap:...and to continue to invest emotionally in a team wears one out, too. It's not to say one doesn't care; it's just different.

I don't really get it. There are a lot of interesting things going on here. Besides the idea that they"re my team and it feels like it's been forever since I've seen them. I dunno, hope just beats apathy.

I've had major distractions the past year and I'm sure that has contributed to my apathy. Now Smitty hasn't done a thing to help my interest. But I hope like last season, when I'm actually sitting in my seat at BoA, those butterlies will start fluttering in my stomach. Last year I wasn't real wound up before the season, so I'm not "alarmed" by my apathy at this point.

A lot of it is just where you are in your life, I suppose.

Personally, my son's getting close to the age where he will begin going to games with me and my family--that's awesome.

I have never been more excited about a season--but I say that every year, I guess. Last offseason blew dick, b/c we did nothing to make our team better. I'm stoked about seeing Moose back in a Panther's uni on gameday, and very happy we landed Hackett (healthy, he'll be nice to watch)

Really excited to see two defensive players this year, in particular--Harris and Beason. I think these guys are due for breakout years (Harris led the league in forced fumbles last year, and Beason was as good, if not better, than Willis in SFO).

The smitty thing was very disappointing. The suspension was justified, and I'm all for it. The steroids thing was disappointing in 2005, but we managed to dig out of a 1-2 hole to finish the season on a 10-3 run. I'm not terrified about the SD game--it's non conference, and it was going to be tough anyway. The Bears game should be a low scoring bloodbath. After that, it will be fun to see Smitty back in action. Hope Lucas doesn't tank this year.

We'll be at the Bank quite often this year--hopefully, we can win more than 2 games there.

Reading up preparing for my fantasy football and read that Beason had more tackles (assisted and solo) than Urlacher, Ray Lewis, Lofa Tatupa, AJ Hawk, Lance Briggs, Derrick Brooks, Demarco Ryans among other linebackers. Yeah he's going to be a good one. :clapclap:

I'll gladly take tickets off of the hands of anyone too bummed out to go to the games.
