Favre tells Packers he'll let them know by training camp whther or not he'll retire. The Packers ask for something before free agency and the draft. How many times can any player, no matter who they are get away with this? How about thinking about the team.

The team is better off with Favre starting.

No one is disputing this. My beef is why does he feel the annual need to dangle the starting QB headache over their head year after year.

Because every year he's exhausted, then every summer he's ready.

Green Bay seems to be disputing that.

And you're disputing it. You're portraying it like Favre is just selfish and ignoring the needs of the team. Sure, it would be better for the Packers if he had never contemplated retirement in the first place, but tons of players go through that. Jonathan Ogden did the same thing with Baltimore, as did Michael Strahan. Neither player gave their teams a decision until it was too late to change any personnel. It happens every year with various players, the media is just obsessing over Favre.

Great picture. Favre is saying "fuck it, just throw it up for grabs", and Jake is like "that's what I've been telling everyone."

Favre is like "Jake, don't forget that Jarrett is looking awesome this offseason" and Jake is like "I fucking know it. I feel guilty for having so many weapons."
