I was kinda hoping we'd use Hangartner more on returns :32:

I've seen a few teams that have gone to bigger return men. Never took the time to compare whether it seemed to produce or not. We've used Hoover back there a time or two, so why not.

It's conceivable that Stewart gradually supplants Williams as the primary workhorse back and Williams becomes the guy doing more of the kickoff return duty.

(not about to predict that by any stretch, but it's a possibility)

one thing Stewart does have that should be a pretty big benefit is vision. Not that Deangelo doesn't, but Stewart's vision is closing in on exceptional. Finding a hole in our shitty blocking would be a big plus, and he has enough burst to take advantage.

But, ideally, I'd rather just have somebody with a lot of speed that can do the same.

Are you talking returns, running plays or both?

returns. No problem with a bigger returner with great vision, but if I could choose, sure, I'd go with something more standard.

I wouldn't put a starting RB to return a KO unless out of necessity... they take too much of a pounding as it is

so if Fox puts him back there, DW has got to be the starting RB... I'd have no problem putting DW back there if JS starts, or vice versa

On Godfrey... couldn't be more stoked up about it

To me, this says they're anticipating him not being ready to assume the starting role early on, and want to get his talent on the field as much as possible.
