Lets compare him to Alex Barron, if we'd done this deal in 2005 - we would have traded up to #19 to get Barron (after taking Thomas Davis in our regular spot) and we'd have given up Eric Shelton, Stephan Lafors, and DeAngelo Williams in 2006.

so, how about it Barron for Williams?

I don't think anyone argued that the trade itself was a great idea.

The key at that point was getting the right guy, not whether you'd get a better player one time or the other. I didn't think much of Barron, thought a lot of Williams, and Barron went ahead of Williams.

One thing making me just a little uneasy, and it's more semantic than anything: six years ago, we went to the Super Bowl. One of our keys was to get back to playing football like that again.
Six years ago, Jeff Otah was a HS senior stepping onto the football field for the first time.

Traded value was terrible. Time will tell if it was the right move.

Those fuckers are going for it, though. Those fuckers being Hurfox. Chips in, laying it out. Win or go home.

I like that part. If it works.
