The team and coach addressing the public like that doesn't even seem like it's coming from the same universe. You will never see anything like that again

The pass rush and the whole DL was awesome in 2003. The four starters were all solid to great and Burton and Wallace provided great depth. We are a long way from that this year. The only player still here is Peppers and he is an enigma right now.

The linebackers should be just as good or better than 2003, we started Greg Favors in 2003.....

The corners are better. The rules were different then though and guys like RMJ had more value. Still I give the edge to 2008.

The safeties are weaker in 2008. Minter was still fairly solid in 2003 and Grant was better than anyone we have had since then.

Overall I would give the edge on defense to 2003 just because the pass rush was so good.

Offense is hard to judge right now. The 2008 OL might be better but it is still a question mark.

Man that video was a trip. That was almost surreal. Unbeaten at home, Kerry getting cheared, Sam Mills.

I still miss Wesley Walls and playing the 49ers.

Lots of ifs with this years squad. That 2003 bunch proved it on the field.

    If Delhomme comes back healthy.

If Stewart is finally the back weve been craving and not another RB draft bust.

If Moose can defy his age and return like he hasnt missed a beat.

    If Hackett can stay healthy.

If Jarrett can learn the fucking playbook.

If Otah was really worth the pick we gave up.

If Gross can improve at LT.

If Fonoti, Brown and Vincent can push the pile.

If Kalil is ready to man the center.

If Peppers can return to form and excell at RE.

If Brayton can finally make an impact on a team.

If Walker can shake of his injuries and return to form.

If Charles Johnson can live up to his draft steal status.

If Godfrey can finally secure the FS spot.

If Kasays leg can hang on for one more year.

More than ANYTHING else, lack of field position has driven me absolutely fucking nuts the past 2-3 years.
