If Holt can't earn a spot out of this bunch, he might want to reconsider his career options.

I suppose he could beat out Salley, I'll stay with my choices for the other 3.

something somewhere stated that the team felt Godfrey would compete with Salley and Teal for the start, but they didn't mention Holt.
Which is odd. Holt is more able than the others; he's really a SS, but in zone it doesn't matter; also, Salley is more limited a SS type player than he is.

It was Reed, and it read more like a guess than one of his sources. You know, like the one that said we wouldn't resign Moose.

Don't know if its been discussed, but who is a realistic comparison to Charles Godfrey? Too early to tell? Maybe he'll pan out like Bob Sanders...both were safeties for Iowa in the 205-210 lbs range. Crazier things have happened.

Harris and Holt are likely the starters. Godfrey has to learn the position and the other guys are scrubs.

Holt is a scrub, too. Harris' saving grace is his ability to force fumbles, otherwise he'd be working at Wendy's.
