just out of curiosity, why the 2-by-6 over 1-by-6 deck boards?

same price per 16' board, plus the 2x6 is a sturdier decking imo. i did use the 5/4x6x12 on my pool deck though.

we installed the metal roofing on Saturday morning. i also attended to some minor finish details. then we all sat out underneath the shelter as it rained that evening.....

the 100 day push towards the completion of these three projects has finally come to a close and i will hit the gym this afternonn for the first time since the middle of January. imma get razzed by some of the guys but i can take it.

we'll do some planting and other, smaller stuff around the house but this old boy is ready for some R&R.....and grilled, dead animals.

i got some more pics too.

How's that metal roof, real noisy? [I'm thinking metal roof instead of shingles next time it's needed.]

You make grilled, dead animals sound like roadkill. lol

yes, its just what my wife and her mother wanted when we first dreamt of buying this place and i gotta admit, they knew what they were talking about. we made it happen.

i stole that dead animal schpeel from one of my good friends back when we were coaching football.
