Talent wise, we'll see how everything shakes out and losing the #1 next year is gonna sting but I think we have a more talented roster now then we did a year ago.

Still have a few holes to fill.

A lot of holes, but yeah, individually they look like good players.

We got a couple of recievers in FA, so we don't have to depend on Jarrett. We've got a stable of talent at running back, and a bigger offensive line. I think we are ok in our back 7 on defense.

Could be a good team, if Julius comes to play, we get solid play around him, and we have a healthy and stable quarterback play.

Yea, i'm stoked. Will worry more about losing next year's #1 around this time, next year.

Until then, I'm excited to see how this new offensive cast will gel. Lot of new beef:

HB Toefield (moron Fowler writes he'll be lucky to make it out of camp. I disagree)
    WR Hackett
    WR Muhammad
    RT Otah
LG Wharton (still a questionable decision to resign him with the intention of moving him to LG)

Defensively, I want to see a few things:
    1. How Brayton compares v. Rucker, now that he's finally in a 4-3 scheme that fits.
    2. Will we grab a vet at DT (I like Scott for value)
    3. Peppers--please dominate.
    4. LB's--should be deep, and good
    5. CB--again, will be a strong suit. Lucas needs to stay healthy.
    6. Holt--I see him starting, and he're hoping for "good enough"
I don't understand all of what Hurfox is doing here, but I'm confident in our talent level overall, and think we will be quite competitive.

    Solid, overall, nothing more.

We ignored the DL completely, hampering our ability to rush the passer....

we drafted for some depth that may never see the field this year....

We got some solid pickups, but mortgaged a ton....

Its a double edged sword. Anything less than playoffs this year, since this was a desperation draft to keep jobs, will be considered a failure.

as prospects, we did a very good job. The bigger picture, Connor doesn't make that much sense, and you'd probably expect that a safety this high would have been a full-time safety, but he's a hell of a football player.
I'm also not 100% on the need for a young TE again, especially a guy who isn't a definite upgrade as a blocker.

The only major problem is that we didn't address the pass rush, and as Fox stated, there wasn't a good place to do so. We also didn't get nearly as big as I figured, until late when these guys aren't expected to contribute right off. We did get a lot faster, which bears some note.

Why do you like Scott for....value? Is it the price tag? I mean, we're not drafting him....what do you like about him?

Yeah, I don't think you can ignore the fact that we added players at positions where we already had people. I'm not saying you should just draft for need, but when you draft the opposite of your needs, I don't think that's a very good idea either. Plus if Otah ends up being a bust, as I expect, that trade is going to look even worse.
