why not? They desperately needed a rush end and haven't had a first round pick at end that did squat since Chris Doleman. Alexander, Clemons, Underwood, Udeze, James. In the draft, they probebly would've gotten Phillip Merling. No guarantee he wouldn't rate among that prestigious group. Allen's a beast. If he behaves himself, he makes their line the best in the league. they already have the best run defense. That acquisition could very well push their defense into the top five overall.

    Yeah, I'm pissed.

I understand that he is a great player, but hes gotten a DUI 3 times in 4 years. What happens when he gets his fourth or fifth and the Vikings do like the Bengals do and cut him? Three times is a trend, and what you call an alcoholic. You've now lost your first and third rounders who could still be contributing to the team. Plus I think that they overpaid.

Well, they gave up alot for one player. Plus they're paying him a Kings ransom. Im really quite shocked KC managed to get all those picks outta Minn. Kinda makes me pissed Hurney only got a 3rd and 5th for Jenkins.

Minn still dont have a QB. I cant believe that position still hasnt been addressed and they gave up all those picks. Could they not have packaged those picks to move up for Matt Ryan?

There are other factors in that- Jenkins wasn't the only DT available for trade, he wasn't one of the best in the league, he may be past his prime and has conditioning issues.

Holy crap, i didnt even know that. What were Minn thinking? That team is starting to show some real potential then they make what could be a franchise crippling decision.

This doesn't bode well for KC: In fact, from all of the Chiefs' drafts from 2000 to 2005, there are currently only six players on the roster

Very true. I might debate ONE of the best in the league, but those are good points. He was one of three or four being shopped, sure. ANd yeah, dude cant stay under 500 tons, and that doesnt help.

Was it three DUIs? Thought it was only two. Anyway, I'll wait until he fucks up again (if he does) to make any judgment in that respect.

I already agreed that they overpaid. your point was that the chiefs got the better deal. I don't believe that's necessarily true, and even if it is, it's only marginally so. One of the top three rush ends in the league is definitely worth the 17th overall and one third. So if the Vikings got had, it was for a third round pick. big deal.
