Stratocatter's original comment was in reference to how often Hackett gets hurt, so I don't think we'll have to wait long for a slot to open up.

I should add that despite Hackett's injuries, and my making fun of them, I'm 100% behind the signing. If he can stay healthy Jarrett will just be an unpleasant memory before too long.

Jarrett, I wasn't one of those calling him a bust after year one but this DUI bs along with Smitty's apparent continued lack of respect for him in general (and his work ethic in particular) has probably sealed his fate here and a bust he will be. At least in Carolina. Personally, I picked up on the Hollywood aspect of the guy early on and seeing that vid of his draft party only reinforced that. I just don't have much use for guys like that.

Kept Colbert all the way through his rookie contract- Jarrett's here to stay for a few more years at least.

I don't know, Colbert at least had a strong rookie campaign to keep hope alive, and no arrests. And we never pushed to find a guy, like Hackett that threatened him. Plus we brought Moose in too? That's some handwriting on a wall for Jarrett.

Now, I would love to see Jarrett rise above all of this, but just don't have a ton of hope for that given what we know so far.

The thing is Jarrett has more ability than both those guys (Muhammed, Hackett), and a ton of potential that really needs to be tapped, hopefully Moose can guide him since Key never got the chance...

I think, in the future, we should just let the clock run for our second round picks.

What?? No he doesnt, you fucking twit. How!? Is that your weak ass answer to BWI's question!?

Because he was drafted in the second round???

Moose is physical, tall, can run block, makes plays all over the field, and has gone to pro bowls. Jarrett couldnt fucking dress for his goddamn team, genius. He isnt fast. He isnt physical. He cant catch. He caught, what, 2 out of 4 last year?

So tell me how the fuck this guy has MORE ability than Moose and Hackett, since you called me a moron and all. Back it up, dipshit. Lets hear it.

Is it because he can catch jump balls in college?

Bottom line is that Jarrett might play well this season, and I hope he does. But he's now in a crowded field of receivers, and his own teammate, the best player the team has, has no faith in the piece of shit, and has to call him out in front of the media to learn his fucking playbook. The dude could dress for a team that was WEAK AS HELL at the position only a FEW fucking times last year, and didnt make shit for an impact when he WAS out there, and then the dumbass gets busted for a DUI at his critical juncture in his career. Like I said....I doubt he makes it this year. Robinson will improve, and my bet is DJ is cut before long. I hope Im wrong, I really do. But Fox is in a make or break year, and he is not going to fuck around with a dipshit for long. The team was wise to sign Hackett.

we could keep Jarrett around just to piss Smitty off. Have a weekly press conference where Smitty verbally assaults him.
