I've been having problems with some spots in the back yard. (haha, holes in the backyard, funny, lol and shit) Ok, enough of that. It stays somewhat shady back there and i used to have alot of caving in going on. I tilled that up and dug and old stump. seems that there was some deep roots staying wet and rotting. well, i pulled up as much of those as i could and put down new dirt and planted grass. that was two springs ago and now the caving in has started again.

that's kind of that back story.

I've also had something dig out a tunnel back there too. probably about 6 inches around. i covered up a hole earlier in the week, but a new one was back the next day and you could tell that something dug it out. also have a couple much smaller holes that look to be tunneled out. i found a turtle beside the big hole the other day. but, i didn't think turtles "burrowed" like that. i've seen chipmunks around too. but, i'm trying to figure out what would be making those holes.

    any ideas?

Or moles. I had one in my backyard a couple of weeks ago. Damn thing was driving my dog crazy. The dog was digging up my backyard trying to catch that damn vole/mole. I went and got some stuff to make it go away, not kill it, but make it go away. I'm guessing it went to the neighbors yard.

You have grubs in your yard. Moles, turtles, etc love to eat those things, now that they are out of hibernation. Get some grub control and put it on the lawn to kill them. Oh, snakes like them too so be careful.
