    I think I'd rather have Edwards than Jones. Be a situational pass rusher....

    Edwards skill set is what we need. We have guys who can play DE in the base defense. We need a guy to come in and pass rush. I remember some on here wanted to draft him instead of Peppers back in '02....

    Thats pretty fuckin' stupid. But I remember a lot of people wanted to find problems with Peppers, yeah.

    To be fair the idea at the time was to draft Edwards in the second round or to trade down and take him. Some thought he would bring as much pass rush as Peppers. Some advocated that strategy with Freeney too though and they were probably right.
