    According to Peter King, Crumpler's knees are in really bad shape, so that could be holding things up either because he doesn't want to sign for peanuts or teams aren't sure if he'll be useful.

    I'm not down with $4 mil a year for that player. That's premium money, not "I'm 32 and I know I'm settling down for the rest of the career" money.

    also:

    Per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Crumpler is close to signing with the Seahawks. He would provide a significant upgrade at a tight end position that has underachieved of late.

    Crumpler is supposedly very close to a deal with the Seahawks. Oh well...maybe King will work hard in the off-season.
