it's kinda funny how analogous stats really just aren't analogous.

 

At least I put something out there, not just my gut feeling.

And as Purr mentioned, he was dumped by a receiver needy team. It wasn't cap issue, like with us three years ago.

 

$3 million per year is not going to kill us anyway. If we bring him back and he has nothing left we are not going to have cap problems because of it.

The fact that he can fit in with Smith and should have instant chemistry with Jake is worth something.

 

Two things will hapen if we sign Moose.

We will hopefully start running the slant again

Lotta things wont kill us, but we shouldnt do them anyway.

We dont have tons of cap room. We need talent. Every bit counts, it really does. Lets not throw money out to a guy because we think hes a cool dude.

1.5 is fair...to a few of us, anyway.

 

They've essentially got Booker in, and still have hopes of getting Berrian back, which is stupid since he'll get far more than he's worth. Maybe they think Hester will help - I don't know. They're an offensively retarded team that just re-signed Rex Grossman.


At any rate, you can find stats to justify anything. Laveranues Coles and Isaac Bruce - are they the same player? Is Jerricho Cotchery 10% better a player than Hines Ward? That's putting something out there, but that doesn't make them valid.

We lowballed him and he took it. Great for us. But he's worth more than that.

 

Hopefully three things. He'll be instrumental in Jarrett's development. He helped Smitty, we all know that. Lotsa people in Chicago also say Moose mentored Bernard as well.
