Well, that's the big issue. Cap room.

and I don't want us to turn our offense into the Shady Pines Retirement Home.

we could spend $80 billion on Bernard Berrian...maybe that'd be better

there's gonna be a downside to various ways of approaching this. For the age concern, we do have two young WRs, so it's not like Muhammad would leave us without developing youth down the road.

Fine. Just don't sign both of them. You know that King is good enough for this offense.

Most things are "good enough". At some point some of this "good enough" has to become "good enough to make the rest of this mediocre bullshit look good enough to win football games." King isn't sacred.

So you think Crumpler can take us to Space Mountain?

I am fine with King but if we can get an impact player at tight end then I am for that. A healthy Crumpler is one of the few tight ends who make an impact. After Gates and Gonzales he has been as good as anyone the past few years. Pair him with Jake instead of the dogkiller and he probably puts up even better stats.

If we do get him and Moose then we will have some really good options to compliment Smith but Smith will be the only deep threat we have since everyone else, except maybe Robinson will be posession guys.

He and Carr have a history together...

B&B just doesn't want us to try to build the offense all at once with big $$$ just to satisfy the fans.

Moose can block, King can't block worth a damn. If the price is right on Moose and we can get a good blocking TE our run game gets a good bit of needed help. I don't know about Crumpler's ability/willingness to block but odds are we can get a blocking TE with no health questions that would be far cheaper than Crumpler. That's all we really need, Rosario and King are decent enough receivers.
