team can't afford 2 #1 receivers. Personally I still want them to bring in Bryant Johnson, but I wouldn't be mad if they brought in Moose. He's still #2 WR talent, and he taught Smith. So he should be able to help teach Jarrett. My only concern is how much does he still have left in the tank, and if we pick him up will we overpay him and not take how much he has left in the tank into consideration.

As long as it is not crazy money having Moose back would be fine. Do not sign him to a long contract at his age but a two year deal a $3 million per would be fine with me. I still like Bryant Johnson and would not mind him instead of Moose. He has more upside but will cost more too.

Tim Dwight is available.....but I'm not sure he's had a catch since Joe Namath stopped drinking..

I hope he would be a draft pick but this regime can't draft a receiver to save their asses. I havn't given up hope on Jarrett but I definately don't have much. Can we contract out the Packers scouts?

OK, well, that's really not that realistic IMO.

As an aside, it was interesting how Moose's numbers dropped in 2007 for receptions (a lot more underneath options - two TE in the top 5, a RB top 3) but his ypc was still high. I don't think his 40 receptions were "good", but they were a product of where he was - giving up the #1 slot to a burgeoning Berrian, for instance, and havnig to play more dumpoff because the run game decided to blow - but he still did well with his opportunities.

I think Moose still has big play potential, so him in a support role and taking the intermediate role would be a benefit.

I think the two could coexist, especially if we did more spread.

But, if we went with a Crumpler, a more rounded receiver would certainly work; we wouldn't need a guy who plays a posession role.

it's not that as much as it's retarded to draft a receiver when they start out slow and we have two already.

also, when we were hoping to kick Hurney up to VP, I did suggest Reggie McKenzie of the Pack as GM.
